Grit!

It had been years since I had stepped foot in an ice skating rink. Before I walked in, I was fearful of falling down. And the fact, I was wearing a pair of jeans that had a minor tear in between my thighs did not help at all. However, I held on to the wall for a full turn -- practicing my foot work -- by the second turn I was ready to let go. The truth is the fearful crowd grew and I couldn't help getting irritated. So, I looked behind, "Do you want to hold hands? We can bypass the mob up ahead together." Random guy agreed, as we moved away from the wall, my foot work felt natural. After a nice conversation with a stranger -- I was ready to let go of his hand.

You might be asking yourself, "How is this relevant to Elle Science?" Well, in the last six months I've attended a couple of conferences and found one common thing among all of them. There is always someone whom asks, "How did you do it?" and (or)  "How did you get over the fear of failure." The common answer, "perseverance".

The fear of falling on the ice skating rink prevented me from enjoying the freedom of skating sooner. But when I took off, there was no stopping, it felt great! At one point in our life, we have all felt fear but we've also tasted the sweet victory of perseverance. Elle Science is here to redirect your attention to your professional development and more important outcomes than the fear of failure. Elle Science is the random stranger whom will hold your hand.
